Two cold nights ago at the stroke of twelve midnight, we found ourselves sitting down on the upper deck of Guu Garlic trying to satisfy an unfulfilled fried chicken craving. With Church's closed, and A&W's limited menu, we resorted to fried chicken's Japanese cousin 'tori karaage'. It was an attempt to cure this contagious illness on desiring fried foods. That marked the first temptation of the night.
The second temptation soon came with Guu's redesigned drink menu. Legs crossed and seated uncomfortably like a Japanese man, it was the 'cassis with grapefruit' that caught my thirsty tongue. The experience called for a squeezing-of-one-fresh-grapefruit, a stirring of the pulp and a sucking of the straw.
